Wellness Travel Tips from a Leading Expert
There’s a good chance your life has been turned upside down by the pandemic. While we may take some solace in knowing that we’re all in this together, it doesn’t change the fact that we are living very differently from just one year ago and we miss the simple pleasures we used to take for granted. Even if you have not personally suffered the loss of a loved one or a severe economic setback, you’re probably still stuck in a confusing, isolating and inconvenient situation right now. On the bright side (and it is a very bright side), there is light at the end of the tunnel, namely in the form of vaccines.
I have spent many nights worrying about the future: How soon will things get back to normal? Will people still be getting sick even as I go back to my life? How quickly will the economy recover? Will anything good come out of this whole year-long nightmare? I know that for me, one good thing has been a new awareness of the importance of self-care- physically, emotionally and spiritually. As I dream of all of the traveling I've missed and that I plan on doing in the (hopefully very near) future, I wonder how I will be able to maintain my wellness on the road and even how I can use travel to enhance wellness.
